1. In general, what did you like and dislike about the film?

 I would honestly say that the thing that i liked the most was definetely the soundtrack. I really like reaggae music, and i loved that i could see more about the Jamaican culture.
Secondly, i was a fan of Jimmy Cliff's music before the movie. My favorite song is Hard road to travel, and i also like the song The harder they come, from the movie. So to me it was something i enjoyed from that point of view, music, basically.
I also like that is a crime movie sort of, and at the same time show things such as violence or drugs and even the cons of the Jamaican music industry.

 2. Who is your favorite character from the film?

Ivan was my favorite character, because first, i really like Jimmy Cliff, and second, i wouldn't say i can relate with Ivan's struggle. But i think that the things he did like dealing drugs on his motorbike are the problems that Jamaica faces because of capitalism, discrimination and poverty.

 3. Would you recommend this film to someone, why/why not?

 I would definitely recommend this film because it's important in so many ways. It was the first Jamaican film and it made reggae music known world wide. Also i think it's a good movie to understand Jamaican culture and reality.

1. Who was your favorite character (s) from the film? Why? I really liked Winston the coach, because he was the only one willing to accept Derrick when he went to the gym for the first time, he always believed in him and didn't care about politics. He even tried to convince his parents to let him box when the Don threatened Derrick.  2. How does the film compare to the other Jamaican films from the 70s?
